Rita P. Mitchell

Rita P. Mitchell is a best-selling author, TEDx speaker, executive coach, and award-winning leader. After a 40+ year career in financial services, Rita retired in 2018 as Executive Vice President & Manager of Private Client Services for Middle TN at First Tennessee Bank (now First Horizon Bank). 

A native Nashvillian, Rita is deeply committed to the local community and has served 3 times as Board Chair of the YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee, is a member of the Founders' Advisory Board of Studio Bank, a start-up Nashville boutique bank, is a member of the International Women’s Forum, a Rotarian, and organizational consultant and Executive Coach for Deloitte. 

Rita is also a recipient of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund Award of Excellence, the First Horizon’s Inclusion & Diversity Leader’s Award, the Nashville Business Journal (NBJ) Women of Influence Award, the U.S. Small Business Woman Advocate of the Year, the YWCA Academy for Women of Achievement, and a recipient of the NashvilleBusiness.Net 100 Leading African Americans.

Today, Rita splits her time between Nashville and NYC running a company with her daughter, Britt, a seasoned marketing and sales professional. Through their company, Dream Bigger Now TODAY, Rita (President & CEO) and Britt (CMO) teach people to harness their individual power to live their best lives by living their biggest dreams. They accomplish this through their workshops, keynotes, conferences, and one-of-a-kind interactive experiences inspired by their 3 published books:
